How to Read A Newspaper for WBCS Exam?

Current affairs preparation is of utmost significance for clearing all the three levels of WBCS examination. It is essential for you to follow a newspaper, judiciously, on a daily basis and also cover the current affairs.
Which Paper/Magazine to Read?
For Newspapers in English: The Hindu; Indian Express; .
For Newspapers in Bengali: AnandaBazar Patrika, Ei somoy.
$ Students should read both news and news analysis (Editorial) for WBCS exam. But it is advised not to spend too much timeon newspaper reading. So, students can read the newspaper for maximum 1 hour. $ Example: Recent article 370 revoked in jammu and kashmir...its implication? what is article 370...changes before and after. Implication etc.
#National, International, Administration related matters, Economy and business matters, Editorials, Science and Technology, Environment, Biodiversity, Disasters, etc – Read these well. Read editorial part seriously, it will help you in bengali and english compulsary paper and in interview.
#What should be focused?
Good analysis of current issues (Editorial page or Op-Ed page).
Supreme Court and High Court verdicts.
Issues of national and international importance.
Parliamentary Debates.
Government policies and orders.
Banking/RBI related news.
Your state’s / district’s news – scan through quickly to pick up important things.
#At First, just go through the paper, and mark the news items that are relevant from the exam perspective. Remember, avoid getting indulged in the political and non-significant controversies. Once you mark the relevant portions, you can just read the other material superficially.
#Dont waste time in Masala News!!!
#Do not focus on:Political news like an X-party member blames a person of another party for taking bribes, etc.
#Entertainment SECTION – Only major national awards.
#Make notes as and when you read the newspaper on important topics.
#When you read editorials you must note down the positive and the negative sides to an issue. You must include points from multiple perspectives.
The importance of reading the newspaper for the Civil Services has increased tremendously.

How to delete a post
Go to Manage to open your Dashboard and click on the 3 dot icon ( ...), then click Delete Post. You can also head to Settings > Manage Blog and delete any post from there. Now you are ready to create your own blog post! Click Create New Post to start crafting your own blog content.
